Shoe locked up

Author – A middle schooler

Today started off like any other school day. I got up, took a shower, got dressed, and got on the bus. On the bus I sent my streaks on Snapchat and texted my girlfriend. When I got to school I walked into the auditorium and waited with everyone else to be dismissed to go to there locker. When we got dismissed I went to my locker, got my binder and went to my girlfriends locker. We hugged and I waited for her to get her things so we could go to class. We both have first block with each other. When we got there we sat down and started class we were working on our essays and trying to get them finished. My girlfriend sits in ground of me so I tapped her chair a little bit with my foot. At first she looked back at me and smiled. Then after a little while longer she looked down at my foot. I was wearing grey high top champion shoes that day. She then grabbed my ankle and pulled my my shoe revealing my white nike sock. She then looked back at me and then shoved my shoe in her desk. I really did not care because for one it’s just my shoe and secondly it’s my girlfriend. I crossed my socked foot on top of my shoed foot so my sock would not get dirty. At the end of class I got my things together got up and asked my girlfriend for my shoe back. She said no I’m gonna keep it for the whole day. I said ok. I walked out of the class with a shoe and a white sock on. I walked my girlfriend to her locker and she opened it and put my shoe in it. She then locked it and I walked her to her next class and then I went to my next class. I got there, sat down and looked at the bottom of my sock. It was already a little dirty with a few hairs on it. I then put my foot back down and then listened to the teacher. I did my work and then class was over. After a few more classes I went to lunch. I lunch while I sat to my girlfriend I told her my sock was getting very dirty. She laughed and said you will get it back at the end of the day. It will be fine. I said ok and went to my next class and the class after that. By that time my sock was really dirty and then I had to go to gym. In gym we played football and I just played it in one shoe. Then then end of the day rolled around and my girlfriend was nowhere to be found. Then I realized she had a early dismissal. I did not know her combination for her locker. And to make matters worse it was a Friday so I am stuck in one shoe for the whole weekend. I’ll write another story if something else happens.

Shoes on a edge

Author – Alexander

Yesterday at school we had to change rooms for the next lesson. Our school has 3 floors and we had to go from groundfloor to the second floor. When we walked towards the stairs one of my classmates stepped on my left heel and made my shoe come off. He gave me a push and picked up my shoe and ran up the stairs. When I came to the stairs I saw him half way the stairs trying to throw my shoe up an edge in the wall. Before I could do or say anything he managed to put it up there. He and a few other guys were laughing as I walked up the stairs. When I came up there I realized I couldn”t reach it because the edge was about 10ft high. All the others walked by and laughed at me and I asked them to help me get it down. Nobody responded and after a short time the guy who picked my shoe offered to help me. He came to me and foulded his hands together like a step and he said here stand on my hands so you can reach your shoe. Automatically I stepped up with my right foot and when he lifted me up I got out of balance and fell back. With my left foot on the ground and my hands to the wall I was balancing not to fall down and in the meantime the guy held on to my foot. He looked at me and grinned and I thought oh no he will not…. But it already happened and he took my right shoe off. I shouted no come on give me my shoe back but he ran up the next stairs and the few guys waiting were only laughing. There I was in my dark blue socks, one shoe unreachable and the other I didn”t know. After a few seconds this guy comes back at the top of the stairs empty handed and was laughing and said good luck with retrieving your shoes and he and the other guys left. When I walked up the next stairs to the second floor I could see my right shoe also on the same kind of edge. I knew now I couldn”t reach them and the bell rang for the next lesson and I had to hurry to the classroom. When I walked in most of the class was laughing and I felt little embarrassed and I sat down at my table. I had to follow five more lessons and change rooms three times and in lunchbreak I tried to find the janitor to help me with my shoes but I couldn”t find him. After the last lesson I walked to the stairs where my shoes should be but to my surprise they were gone. I got the shivers and was afraid I had to go home shoeless. I tried to find the janitor again and after a walk through half the school and asking several teachers I found him standing outside at the bicycle shed. He was helping another student with the lock of his bike. I walked towards him and noticed the ground was still a little moist from rain the day before. I asked the janitor if he took the shoes off the edge, he looked at me and said no I didn”t take no shoes off an edge but maybe somebody else did and brought them to the lost and found office. I walked back into the school to the lost and found office but I didn”t see any shoes. I tried the door but it was locked. A teacher walking by said the lost and found will be open tomorrow he had to leave early today. I sighed and walked towards the lockers to get my jacket and go home. I had to go with the bus and people were watching me. I tried to hide my feet but that was no success. At the end it felt a little exciting and today I got my shoes back, they were found in a trash bin….

Joseph gets his come uppence

Author – James

In pur school, shoe confiscation is used for what we we refer to as the three cardinal sins, not doing homework, running in the corridor, and forgetting your school tie.
The uniform is a dark red jumper with a gray or white shirt, and grey trousers, and socks are supposed to be solid color, so most boys wear grey socks too. Our form master normally turns a blind eye about the uniform, but he expects homework to be done.

One day my friend Speedy – he is really called Stephen Paul, but we all call him Speedy – hadn’t followed the lesson,, we had been playing around passing notes etc.. That night we asked Joseph, the real class brain box if he would help us out, but he refused, condescendingly telling us that if we messed around in class we deserved to ahev to lose our shoes the next day.
The next morning speedy realised that he wasn’t wearing his tie. We approached Joseph duting the first break and asked him to help out, but again he refused. Immediately after break was maths, and of course speedy and i lost our shoes and were left in our grey socks. I didn’t care too much, i would spend recess in the library with enough other boys in socks, but for Speedy it was a different story. Since our form master Mr. slade now noticed his tie he was not to get his shoes back until the end of the following day, which would mean going home in socks, and doing P. E. in socks the next day. Also Speedy eats the school lunches, and with all the pushing and mess in the school cafeteria you cannot really go there in your socks.
At lunchtime i shared my sandwiches with speedy, and Joseph smugly came over to us. “Next time pay attention in class,” he said smugly.
Although he didn’t realise it Speedy’s uncle, Mr. Henry, who teaches A level math had noticed him, and he came over to us afterwards and asked us what was going on. Speedy told him the whole story.

We spent the remaning breaks in the library, and then i walked speedy home. Poor kid, he was really embarrased, and his Mom didn’t cut him any slack either.

The next day we had P.E. in the playing field and the boys who had lost their shoes had to participate barefoot. I had lost my shoes again, and there were three of us without shoes or socks.

Speedy phoned me that night and told me that his uncle is going to come to our class, and take care of Joseph. “listen,” he told me “When he asks you for your shoes, let him take them, he promised me it will work out in the end.”

A couple of days later Mr. Slade announced a math quiz, quiz, qith Mr. Henry, speedy’s uncle presiding. He went round asking questions, giving out points, and keeping track on a piece of paper. After a couple of rounds he started offering the boys a risk, either get double points if you know a harder question, or risk losing points. The cleverer boys went for it, with of course Joseph in the lead.
After a few more rounds he made a list on the white board of the boys with the most points, Joseph was getting more and more ahead, speedy was also there, and six or seven other boys. A couple of boys risked losing points and were off the list, while he kept on offering double and triple points with other boys moving forward with leaps and bounds. Mr. Henry made sure to announce that brain box Joseph hadn’t yet missed a question.

Abouf 45 minutes before the next break Mr. henry told everyone to take off their shoes and put their shoes on their desks. He then said that if we answer a quesion correctly we can put on a shoe, and whoever has two shoes can go out to break. Sounded good.

He continued the quiz, and a few boys had a shoe on, when he came to me. he pffered me a hard question, for which i could get two shoes, or risk having my shoes thrown out the window. as per instructions i chose the hard question. He asked me and i didn;t know. He turned round to look at the whiteboard, where joseph was clearly in the lead. “OK, Joseph, do you know the answer?” Joseph answered correctly, and he told Joseph to throw my shoes out the window. The same thing repeated itsefl with Speedy. He told Speedy and me to stand by the window in our socks, since we were playing any more. No one else took up his offer of hard questions.

Then it was Joseph’s turn. “So brainbox,” Mr. Henry said. “Here’s my offer for you. If you answer correctly you get your shoes and triple points, if you gat it wrong, you give me your shoes for 48 hours and you fetch the shoes you threw out the window. ” Joseph smugly agreed.
Mr. Henry turned round to the whiteboard and drew a picture of a traffic cone, complete with a square bottom, and an opening at the top. he proceeded to indicate all the various measurements. “Could you please tell me the complete volume?”

Of course Joseph had no way of answering. Mr. Henry walked over to his desk. To everyone’s surprise Joseph hald on to his shoes. Mr. Slade also went over to his desk but Joseph was holding his shoes tight. short of physical force the teachers would not be able to take his shoes. “It’s totally unfair” he said.
“You didn’t say that when i offered to double and triple your points” Mr. Henry countered. Joseph said a couple of toher things that he shouldn;t have said.

The teachers returned to the front of the room. “Joseph, pleae come here with your chair” Mr. slade said to him. To our surprise Joseph picked uo his shoes with one hand and his chair with the other and came to the teachers desk.
“Put your chair on the desk” Mr. Henry commanded. Joseph did as told, and when he was told to climb up and sit on the chair he did so, all the while holding his shoes. After a minute Mr. Henry grabbed the shoes from underneath and yanked. As the chair started mving, joseph ahd no choice but to leave go.
Then Mr. Henry called Speedy over. “Speedy come here, please.” Speedy came. “Would you like to remove Mr. Arrogant’s grey socks please.” With Mr. Slade holding the chair, and Mr. Henry Joseph’s feet, speedy pulled his socks off in seconds. Mr. Slade promptly said that he was taking the sheos and socks to the principal, and he told Joseph to come with him. they returned a few minutes later with our shoes.

Speedy and I walked behind Joseph on the way home, watching him in his toes. The next few days he was in socks in school, and he did P.E. in his toes – while Mr. Slade let everyone else wear their shoes.

A week later, when he received his shoes back, a few boys wrestled him to the floor and took them away again, so he spent quite a long time qithout them.

The Sneaker set up pt.3

Author – jman

Tracy replied, “You told me that if I got Caleb to lose his shoes then I could get mine back. I took his homework out of his back pack so he would get his third strike and have to give up his sneakers.” Miss Parker replied, “You just confessed to causing someone to get a strike which would earn you another strike. That is four strikes this week and no one with four strikes gets their shoes back.” Tracy replied, “That is not fair. We had a deal.” Miss Parker replied, “Well there is nothing you can do about it. You can’t report me because you were involved in the scheme to get the shoes.” Tracy then left the classroom in solid pink socks.

Meanwhile Caleb left the room in his brown socks. He was upset with himself for getting the third strike and thinking he forgot his homework. Eric saw this and came up to Caleb and said, “Don’t feel bad. One time Miss Parker took my cowboy boots because they were making too much noise. I already had two strikes for talking in class and she charged me with having noisy boots. It was a bummer. Those boots cost $150. This was after she took my tennis shoes for being late three times.”

Caleb said, “They seem pretty strict around here. The slightest violation and you are in socks.” Eric replied, “You have to remember that the school is funded by the selling the shoes that they confiscate.”

Tracy felt bad about what happened to Caleb’s Converse sneakers. Later Tracy saw Caleb in the lunch room and said to him, “May I sit down?” “Please do.” Caleb replied. Tracy then explained how she took Caleb’s homework in order to get him to lose his shoes so she could get hers back. Caleb said, “It’s okay. I was the one who was late on purpose so I would have to lose my shoes. I took a risk that I would not get a third strike but I did.” “You like to lose shoes too?” Tracy asked. “How about we have a contest to see who can lose the most shoes.”

The bully

Author – Roper

I hate a bully more than anything maybe because I have been on the receiving side more than once I’m a little guy for my age we have a few bullies in my school I know I can’t beat them in a toe to toe fight but I don’t have to let them win, The tell an adult thing, I’m not in to.

It makes it worse in my country boy world, you deal with things yourself and this is how I dealt with mine:
This new guy started my school, from his first day he just singled me out for some reason. He would trip me, bump in to me walking down the hall, push my stuff off my desk as he walked by. I ask him what his problem was he said I don’t like you.
This went on from the first day he started. He is like 6” tall and 190lbs. I’m like 5”6’ and a 100 lbs. At lunch we can eat outside at the picnic tables my teacher had what they call lunch room duty, so my class got out early for lunch I grabbed my lunch and went out to get a table for me and my friends. I see the bully coming He sees me at the picnic table eating lunch, I had my foot on the seat/beach on the opposite side He walks over and sits down and told me to move the foot or lose the boot so I moved my foot but he keeps on being mouthy grabs half my fries tried to push my cup off the table. Then he kicked my foot
it was on the ground under the table and said I told you to move that foot are lose that boot, you must want to lose it bad. I told him I did move my foot. He said I told you move your foot, I finally got pissed and put my foot in his lap under the table and he grabbed my boot I pulled my foot out of my boot before he could pull it off me I got up, and hopped to building missing my right boot and went to the lunch room my friends were there and we decided to just eat inside. After the bell rang, I headed to class. I got to B hall and my bully was coming down the hall He just walked past me never said a word are for once didn’t push me. After school I was heading to the bus and he was already there I hopped by him and got on the bus he just looked at me and still never said a word. May have not been the best way but he left me alone

Worth the trade?

Author – Shoelossfan

It was the start of a new Monday morning for Mathew as he was currently at his school locker grabbing his supplies for his first period math class, he was wearing a brown tee-shirt with some punk bands logo across it, while wearing a pair of gray jeans and on his feet were a pair of white adidas skate sneakers with black laces and logo. Once he grabbed the last of his items he walked towards his classroom like the rest of his classmates, his sneakers slightly slipping off his foot exposing his black sports socks with blue toes and heels with each step.

Soon after he entered the classroom and took his seat near the back row, though he like most of his classmates noticed that their teacher wasn’t there yet, which was odd since most mornings he was in the classroom before them, but it was still a minute or two before class started and Mathew figured he was just running a little late. as he laid back in his chair and waited hear head his friend Millie from the seat next to his ask. “So you have a good weekend Mattie?”

“Hm yeah for the most part, what about you?” Mathew asked looking over at his friend for a second to notice she was wearing a light blue jacket over a black tee-shirt with an apple logo on it, a pair blue jeans on her here feet were a pair of new looking yellow Nike sneakers with a blue logo, outlines and laces and a pair of somewhat dirty looking pink socks since she was already shoe playing with her loose sneaks. Though after a quick look at his friends’ outfit for the day Mathew started to set up his stuff when Millie replied. “Oh pretty good, got to get some new sneakers on Saturday.”

“ah that’s good seeing how you seem to have a problem keeping them on.” Mathew teased since he knew all about his friends clumsy nature, as Millie pouted when she heard that and remarked. “oh come on you like it when I play with them, and you know it. Also mind if I borrow your pencil? I forgot my case at home”

“Yeah….sure besides I can just borrow one from the teacher once he shows up.” Mathew sighed as he handed over his only pencil for the period over to his friend as their teacher entered the classroom just as the bell rang to signal the start of the period, commenting as he entered with what appeared to be something rolled up under his arm. “Sorry about being late class but I had stop by home depot on the way here.”

Mathew just rolled his eyes at the comment as some of his classmates started to wonder about the roll under his arm as Millie raised her hand and asked straight out. “Mister Montgomery what’s that under your arm?”

“Well as you kids Know their seems to be a lot of you that keep stealing pencils from my classroom when you borrow them so.” Their teacher soon spoke up as he walked over to a blank part of the wall behind his desk and started to hang up the poster with some tape, unrolling it to reveal the following words that made Mathew worry. “If you want to borrow a pencil then leave one of your shoes”

Under the text there was some images showing a generic shoe and some pencil images, some of the students were shocked as one nerdy looking girl near the front of the room asked. “Sir is it even legal for you to do this? I mean these shoes belong to us.”

“in fact it is since it’s something of an even trade, besides maybe it will teach more of you to be ready for class before it starts.” Mister Montgomery stated with a bit of a cross tone as one of the jocks of the classroom, Evan sanders asked in a snobbish tone. “Oh yeah and what if we don’t want to trade one of our shoes for your stupid pencils?”

“then you will just have to trade with someone else, and I will be making sure everyone has a pencil before we start each lesson to make sure none of you are missing your supplies.” Mister Montgomery stated clear as day with Mathew gulping a bit since he loaned his pencil to Millie as he quickly leaned over and whispered. “Say can you give me my pencil back please?”

“no way since I don’t want to lose one of my new sneakers already.” Millie replied back with a whisper while another boy asked a in a concerned tone. “Is there some way for use to get our shoe back?”

“Yes these is, just return my pencil and you get the shoe back. Easy as that!” Mister Montgomery remarked before he looked over his class and asked as he took out his class roster from the desk. “Alright then when I call out your name let me know if you have your supplies and if you need to borrow any.”

With that the teacher started to call out each of his student’s names from A-Z, though when he reached Evan it turned out he didn’t bring his pencil and so had to give up one of his red and white Nikes to borrow one. After a few more names and a few more shoes on the teachers desk he finally hit Mathew who sadly walked up to the teacher’s desk, who soon slipped off one of his skate shoes before his Montgomery said simply. “alright you can borrow a pencil though remember to bring it back at the end of class and be more prepared next time.”

“Yeah I know…” Mathew sighed as his black and blue right socked foot felt cold on the classrooms tile floor as he took a pencil from the mug on the desk before heading back to his desk. As the teacher called out the remaining names and got about three other students handing in a shoe for a pencil, leaving mister Montgomery with a dozen single shoes at the start of the period.

———

Midway through the lesson Mathew was doing his best to focus on what the teacher was saying when he heard the familiar sound of a pencil hitting the ground from the desk next to his, glancing over he noticed that Millie had somehow lost the pencil he loaned her, and by the look of things it seamed to roll back behind the back row of the classroom, hearing his friend say in a quiet manner since mister Montgomery was strict about no talking in class. “ohh…not good. Where did it go?”

(“heh same old Millie.”) Mathew thought to himself as he glanced over to see that her left sneaker was completely off her pink socked foot while her right sneaker was on only by her toes. Though he soon set his pencil down in the little engraved slot on the desk to try and follow what his teacher was writing on the board, however the engraving happened to be on the side of the desk that faced Millie’s. smirking a bit she quickly snatched up the pencil from her friends desk while he was distracted.

With Mathew only noticing when he needed to take some notes again and notice the pencil was gone, though he first looked around under his desk in case he might of accidently knocked it down only to notice it gone completely while Millie kept it hidden from Mathew thinking to herself. (“I’ll be sure to return it before class ends”)

———

Later as the period ended Millie had somehow forgotten that the pencil in her hand was the one Mathew borrowed from mister Montgomery as she set it into her math book as a sort of bookmark while clearing off her desk and slipping her sneakers back on before starting towards the classroom door. While Mathew looked all around his desk franticly for the pencil he borrowed to no Advil while the other students who borrowed a pencil returned them to the teacher. So, sighing in defeat Mathew gathered up the rest of his school supplies and walked up to the teacher’s desk as mister Montgomery asked. “So, Mathew will you remember to have your pencil next time?”

“Um yeah….i’m not sure how but…I kind of misplaced the pencil I borrowed..” Mathew sheepishly said rubbing his slightly dusty and dirt black socked right foot with blue toes and heels against his still shoe foot as Mister Montgomery replied picking up Mathew’s skate shoe before he said. “well in that case your not going to get your shoe back since you can’t return the pencil”

“L…look I’ll give you another pencil tomorrow so please give me back my shoe please, this is my only pair.” Mathew begged in a desperate tone before mister Montgomery remarked in a very stern manner. “Sorry kid but you need to learn to also take better care of things people loan out to you, so your not getting your shoe back.”

“You have to be kidding me! You can’t just keep my shoe from me!” Mathew exclaimed looking a bit angry as mister Montgomery calmly stated. “it’s not your shoe anymore Mathew, you traded it to me for a pencil which you lost.”

With that and no other argument to give Mathew just groaned as he stormed out of the classroom, stuck with his right sock exposed and only wearing a left skate shoe as he wondered how he was going to get his shoe back after this, though when Millie saw this she giggled and blushed at the cute sight of her friend walking off like that.

Shoe stolen at school

Author – Nicole

Okay so this happened when I was walking to the canteen for lunch and the way I had gone I had to go outside and then around the building and back into the canteen, the door leading outside was a one-way glass door with a push bar in the middle and also had a small lip just in front of the door. at the time I was wearing some flats with nylons just normal schoolgirl stuff and completely in a world of my own as I went to step through through this glass door and in my haste my foot hit the small lip at the bottom of the door causing me to trip over it and stumble through the door falling into some railings outside, and as you might have expected I lost my shoe during this.

Normally that would be fine just get my shoe and go on with my day but not so simple as my shoe had dropped behind the lip behind the door, which had by now shut itself…yaaay for me! So my though process was that if I went around the building to get my shoe then by the time I get to my shoe someone might have taken it by then, so to avoid that I thought I’d wait by the door to see if someone could open the door for me so I could get my shoe. solid plan I thought but it all came apart when some little snob from the year or two below me came past with his friends and saw my flat on the floor he saw me and looked back and fourth between me and my shoe, I asked him if he could open the door so I could get my shoe but noooo he had better ideas as he picked it up and his friends were telling him to take it he waved my shoe in my face by the glass taunting me saying if I wanted it why not come get it etc. They were staring at my foot literally laughing I dare say had his friends not been there he probably would have given it back but I guess the peer pressure got to him as his friends egged him on that they should take my shoe, which is exactly what they did they picked up my flat and continued walking down the hallway laughing and giggling whilst I shouted at them through the door and that’s the end of the first time someone stole my shoe, I didn’t know who they were or where they went even with teachers help I never got it back 😦
